Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. had its fresh start in March 2004, as it was acquired by Tata Motors, the largest automobile company in India. Tata Daewoo has set its values on ‘integrity and diligence’, ‘customer-focus’, ‘environmental responsibility’, ‘a passion for excellence’ and ‘innovation’. While fulfilling these core business values, Tata Daewoo seeks to realize its vision of becoming one of the most admired companies in Korea, based on its’ technologies and customers’ confidence which the company has built up. Tata Daewoo has made continuo investments in product development and facility expansion. Thanks to such efforts, Tata Daewoo expanded its’ lineup to medium commercial vehicle (MCV) along with its existing heavy commercial vehicle (HCV). In addition, Tata Daewoo has shown remarkable achievements, increasing exports five-fold, sales three-fold and the number of employees by about 60% to 1,350, compared to that of 2004.
 

 

The number of export destinations has grown to more than 60 countries, including Algeria, the UAE, South Africa, Russia, and Southeast Asia. In order to grow into a global player in the comprehensive commercial vehicle manufacturing sector, Tata Daewoo has developed its mid- and long-term plans of becoming a global leader in the commercial vehicle market by 2021 with the parent company, Tata Motors. To this end, Tata Daewoo is gradually working on its’ plan to expand production line from medium and heavy to light and small trucks and buses for export and making progress in product development stage by stage. To fulfill its’ corporate social responsibility, Tata Daewoo is taking the lead in the development of community through job creation, community chest drives, donation campaigns for the disabled and other community works.
